Turning sixteen can be hell, especially if everyone in town thinks your mother killed herself and your sister. All Kira Callahan wants to do is swim, hang out with her best friend, Sean, and ignore the kids who torment her at school. That is, until one day when she gets invited to a party. MY REVIEW
This story starts with two character's stories alternating between
short chapters in what, seems like, completely different time periods. The writing style was a bit uncommon in the
sense that the first few chapters leave you with questions and even a bit
confused. I wasn't sure, in those first
few chapters, if I was going to like this book.
Then, the seemingly unrelated stories slowly start to converge on each
other and you're pretty much hooked at that point. I really couldn't put it down.
It is a strange story but all the more
enchanting for its strangeness. I
would've liked just a little bit more description of some of the male lead
characters. I didn't feel like I could
really picture them. Despite the fact
that I couldn’t get a very clear picture of those two male characters in my
mind, I still loved and connected with them. I can't wait to read the next book because
this, undoubtedly, has series written all over it.
