Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler Review #HolidayGiftGuide

As a mom of three, I am constantly running around from the time I wake up til the time I lay my head on my pillow at the end of the night. So there are nights where I just wash my hair and put it in a bun and head to sleep. The reason why is because it usually takes me over an hour to blow dry my hair and I honestly don't have that kind of time. My hair is coarse, medium length and very thick. When I do have time to actually blow dry it after washing it, it's somewhat of a hassle because I'm holding my blow dryer in one hand and my brush in the other. For over an hour.

I was recently sent the Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler to try out. Let me just say that I am absolutely in love with this product. This has cut my time blow drying my hair over more than half. What I love most about this hair dryer is that it's shaped like a hair brush. It's easy to grip and hold and I get to have one of my hands free while drying my hair.

The tangle-free bristles help to dry, smooth, and style your hair in half the time. It comes with two heat settings and a cold setting function for complete styling flexibility. It’s a hairdryer, hair styler, hot air brush, 2-in-1, and paddle brush all in one! This is the hair dryer I've been waiting for. Less time, less heat damage to your hair and easy to use with its tangle free swivel cord and being light weight. You definitely need this in your life right now!

I have already been talking this hair dryer up to my friends and family, especially moms at home who are always on the go with little time to dry or style their hair. This should definitely make it on your Christmas wish list or buy for a friend or family member who could benefit with saving time on doing their hair.

The Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler is retailed at $59.99 and can be found in retail stores like London Drugs, Home Hardware, Walmart and Amazon!

Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron Iron Man ARC FX Armor Review #HolidayGiftGuide

Our little ones have such a unique imagination. I remember when I was young, playing with my sister, we use to love to play like we were super heroes, of course we loved playing Wonder Woman and Super Girl.

Although back then the only way we could actually dress up like our favorite super heroes would be for Halloween. I don't remember there being any play dressup clothes for super heroes like there is now.

My son absolutely loves Iron Man. Well, he loves the Avengers. He's watched all of the Iron Man movies and he's seen both The Avenger movies. Even being eight and too cool to give mom a kiss in front of his friends, he still loves to dress up and pretend he's his favorite super hero. So I was pretty excited to give him the Iron Man ARC FX Armor to try.
With the armor he is able to slip on the electronic Iron Man glove and matching non-electric glove to take on the identity of one of his favorite super heroes.

These gloves look great and just like the real thing. The lighting, sound effects, and motion-activation are pretty awesome too. It helps make pretend play feel even more real. They're well made and very durable, which is great when it comes to an eight year old boy running around the house playing pretend. This goes so well with his Hulk gloves that he has, so when he has a friend over they love playing like they're The Avengers.

DohVinci Butterfly Wall Art Review #HolidayGiftGuide

My daughter is a huge crafter. She loves creating art and exploring her imagination. From creating stories to making new fashion designs and creating art to hang on her wall, her creativity always amazes me.

She's also a big fan of the DohVinci Art Sets. She received her first kit last year for her birthday and has been loving them ever since. So I knew she would love their Butterfly Wall Art Kit. If you aren't familiar with Doh Vinci, it's somewhat like a play-doh, only easier to use when creating 3D art designs. It comes with a styler and deco-pop tubes with different bright colors to help create beautiful creations.

The Butterfly Wall kit comes with an 8-piece butterfly project and 4 Deco Pop colors for you to create beautiful butterfly wall art pieces to hang separately or string together on your child's wall.

It's easy to use and since my daughter is 10, once she started creating, she put on her headphones to listen to some music and was in her own world designing her butterfly pieces. Once she was done she wanted me to keep the pieces for her because she wants to display them in frames to hang up in her room.

What I love about DohVinci is that although it's somewhat like play-doh, it's easier to direct and create beautiful 3D pieces of art. There are many different designs to choose from. I recommend buying the original set to start off so that it comes with a styler for your child to use, that way when you buy different refill sets, you don't have to buy the styler separately.

Disney Junior Canada Is Back! #DisneyJuniorCA

Have you heard the news?! Canada has brought back Disney Junior! I don't know about you, but I am super excited about this news. I was really bummed out when it went away because my 18 month old absolutely loves both Sofia The First and Doc McStuffins. Along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sheriff Callie, those shows keep her entertained and help me get some things done around the house when they're on. I love that they're back and better than ever with our favorite shows we know and love and a couple new shows that look pretty cool to watch, like, The Lion Guard.

To celebrate that Disney Junior is now back in Canada, we were sent a few gifts for my little girl to help celebrate the return of one of her favorite shows, Sofia The First! We were sent Sofia the First Royal Purse & Fan Set and the 2-in-1 transforming dress.

Both items were definitely a hit for my little girl. She absolutely loves to walk around our house with her Sofia The First Dress and carrying the purse as well. It's been a few days since she's had her new dress-up toys and she still loves them. As you can see from the many pictures, she is just having a ball with her Sofia The First dress, fan and purse.

You're never too old to start playing dress-up, it's so cute to see her walking around our house dressed as one of her favorite characters from Disney Junior. It's definitely bringing back memories of when my oldest daughter use to dress-up as a princess, walking around our house watching Disney as well.

To help celebrate the return of Disney Junior Canada, they're holding a contest over on their Facebook page. Their 6-day multi prize pack contest started December 1, 2015 and will end midnight December 13, 2015. Be sure to head on over and enter to win 1 of 6 amazing Disney Junior themed prize packs for your little one!

New Season of Worst Cooks in America Starts January 3rd!

It's not often that I watch reality shows, but there is definitely something about cooking reality shows that have always kept my fingers from turning the channel. There is just something I love about the cooking challenges the contestants have to participate in.

The new season of Worst Cooks in America premieres Sunday, January 3, 2016 on The Food Network. If you didn't watch last season, the show is based on two teams, Team Anne against Team Tyler. Both Anne and Tyler lead a team of disastrous cooks in an intense kitchen boot camp designed to help improve the cooking skills of the contestants on their team. The contestant who makes the most impressive culinary transformation is awarded a $25,000 grand prize.

In the season premiere, Anne and Tyler are faced with some of the worst cooks they've ever seen during an open casting call. They've chosen fourteen recruits which include a lunch lady, truck driver, Army veteran and special education teacher to send to boot camp, and each contestant whips up the “offending dish” that landed them in hot water.

After test tasting the meals the recruits cook, Anne and Tyler pick their teams and attempt to teach them to make a well-balanced meal.

The seven episode season comes to an end on the show's finale which airs on Sunday, February 14th at 9pm ET/PT where the most improved recruit is awarded $25,000 and bragging rights for their mentor.

Think you could survive cooking boot camp? Head over to Food Network and take a quiz to find out if you'd be able to take the heat.

Zazen Bear: An Oasis of Peace in Manhattan #‎ZenHoliday‬

It's crazy that 2015 is almost over. We are now in the month of December and I'm still at awe by how fast time has flown by. Life gets crazy busy and there are lots of times where you don't get the opportunity to just sit, relax and enjoy the moment that you're in. I know being a stay at home mom of three who also works at home, my days are jammed pack and it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day.

Taking time to just relax and enjoy the little things should be something that we do more often. That's why I want to talk to you today about Zazen Bear, a retail store located in New York that offers beautifully carefully crafted products that range from jewelry to home furnishing.

Zazen Bear offers a unique retail experience that starts when entering the 2,400 sq. ft. store. Spread out on two floors, connected by an open staircase and a harmonious live-plant vertical garden. When visiting, you are lead through the three interlocked circular rooms into a voyage of discovery and sensory exploration.

The concept was inspired by the idea that everything and everybody is connected, each item is carefully crafted to evoke a sense of harmony, relaxation and tranquility when touched, worn or used to decorate the home.

The jewelry collection spans from the Connected Ring Series designed to represent the connection of the mind and the universe where our inner self intersects with the world around us. The Zazen bear monogram earrings features the iconic bear that represents harmony and inner peace. The Posey Bracelets of Balance, Meditation and Calm designed as a reminder to seek these three elements in the day and the Inner Stellar necklace a reminder to embrace the constellation of stars that represents our dreams and aspirations.

If I'm ever in New York, I know I'd like to be able to visit Zazen Bear, it sounds like such a peaceful place to enjoy and experience, even if you don't end up purchasing anything, the experience is definitely worth the visit.

Mrs. Potato Head Review #HolidayGiftGuide

Who remembers the classic, Mr. Potato head? He was easy to play with and could keep you entertained for hours. Not only can our kids still play with Mr. Potato Head, but there are so many different versions of this toy, including Mrs. Potato Head.

With Mrs. Potato Head, you can create a funny face, grab an arm and a leg, and never stop laughing. The more mixed up the combinations are, the more fun your kids will have.

My little girl had the opportunity to play with Mrs. Potato Head and she has been loving the toy. It keeps her busy for hours taking the pieces off and on the potato head. Not only did it keep my 18 month old busy, but my 8 year old also loved playing with Mrs. Potato Head. It was great seeing both of them play together.

This toy also helps encourage development of Fine Motor Skills, Creativity, Social & Emotional Development and Imagination for kids, which is definitely a bonus.

Mrs. Potato Head retails at $10.99 and can be found in most stores selling toys across Canada. For more information about Mrs. Potato Head and other Hasbro toys be sure to head over to www.hasbro.com.
