MY REVIEW
This is such a fun game that can be enjoyed by the whole family.  It appealed to all ages from my 6 year old and my 10 year old to my husband and myself.  We were able to sit together on the couch and enjoy the game and all it had to offer.

The theme of the game is great and also reminded my husband and myself of Super Mario and Kirby combined.  It offered an old feel of when we were kids playing video games.  We really enjoyed the music and the graphics the game offers.  The game is also geared to many levels of gamers as it starts off easy and gets challenging as one progresses through the game.

My daughter was disappointed that there was no tutorial at the beginning of the game but she was quickly able to figure out how to use the controls to maximize her playing time.

Overall this is a fantastic game that appeals to all styles and level of gamers.  Perfect for a family game night! Available today, August 27th, on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Steam, you can now play this game at home. For more information about Whipseey and the Lost Atlas, be sure to head to their official website or on their Twitter.

Thirsty Thursday: J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail Review

As we're winding down and getting ready for the kids to head back to school, it's still summer and you know what that means, summer drinks can still be enjoyed on a nice summer evening. On today's Thirsty Thursday we are talking about J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail. Who doesn't love a great drink where all you need to do is pour it over ice.

That's exactly what you do with their Old Fashioned Cocktail. You pour it over ice and sip and enjoy. To spice it up a bit you can definitely add an orange peel to bring out the orange essence in this drink, but it's definitely not required. I didn't have any oranges on hand, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this nice cocktail on a nice summer evening.

How to serve J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail in three easy steps:
1. Pour over ice.
2. Stir.
3. Add an orange peel. (optional)

Ready to drink J.P.Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail is crafted from whisky, orange essence and natural flavours. It shows aromas and flavours of caramel, orange, cinnamon and cloves. The finish features a hint of rye. Simply pour it over ice and garnish with an orange twist and voilà; an old fashioned at your service.

Although Old Fashions are usually made with Rye or Bourbon as the base, Canadian made J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail is made with Canadian whisky and it is delightful. Fun fact, did you know that the Old Fashioned is one of the most Googled searched cocktails? It's also a great drink to introduce someone to whisky if they haven't had it before.

Filled with spice with a bit of citrus that balances this drink out so well, this Old Fashioned is delicious and easy to enjoy on a nice hot summer night. Perfect for a BBQ gathering with friends and family or in your backyard on a nice summer night. You can find J.P. Wiser's Old Fashioned Whisky at your local LCBO retailing at $29.95.

Summer of Space with Ontario Science Centre & DK Canada!

One of the things I love about having a partnership with companies I trust is that some times we get invited to special events and although most we aren't able to make it due to us being about 4 hours away from Toronto, I'm happy to say that when we were given an invite to the Ontario Science Centre to celebrate Summer of Space this summer, we were happy to accept the invite.

We were given full access to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. We went on the weekend of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.  We were excited to go and went during the weekend of my twelve year old's birthday. We were given 7 tickets and although once we got there and they couldn't find our tickets, the staff easily helped us get full access to the centre to enjoy our visit. The center is clean and well maintained. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and accessible to all guests, so when you have a question about something, they were right there and happy to help.

There were science-based games and activities for all ages, with new space-themed exhibitions, IMAX® films and a planetarium show for us to watch. Below are some of the activities they had that we got to enjoy:

Apollo 11: First Steps Edition IMAX Film
Astronaut Exhibition
Women in Space Exhibition
Lego Activities
Daily Science HotSpots
Apollo 11 Artifacts
Construct A Canadarm

LANDER: From Avro to Apollo Documentary Film

My five year old daughter had the best time of all of us that went, she had a blast and enjoyed every minute of our visit. The interactive play areas are incredible. There were so many people and the activities were a bit chaotic, I suspect this was only because there was a larger turn out to the moon landing anniversary than expected. We still had a blast and enjoyed our time there.

Our absolute favorite experience was the Planetarium! Everyone including my 4-month-old grandson loved the Planetarium.  It felt like hitting a magical reset button after a long day of driving, activities and exhibits.  It was a great experience. We made a lot of memories and would definitely recommend visiting the Ontario Science Centre if you're looking for something that the entire family can do together.

The Ontario Science Centre, informs and challenges our communities, offering hands-on experiences and engagement with science of local, national and global relevance. The Science Centre has been opened since 1969, implementing an interactive approach adapted by science centres around the world. The Science Centre is the public centre for innovative thinking and the prime venue for public dialogue about science, technology and society. The Summer of Space will be continuing throughout the month of August, so if you're thinking about a last minute trip before school is back in session, we definitely recommend checking out Summer of Space at the Ontario Science Centre. Big thanks to DK Canada for providing us with tickets and Reach For The Stars books to bring with us to make our visit even more fun!

Disney's Descendants 3 DVD (Review, Giveaway & Free SVG)

This highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie continues the contemporary saga of good versus evil as the teenage daughters and sons of Disney's most infamous villains - - Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay (also known as the villain kids or VKs) -- return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep. When a barrier breach jeopardizes the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma and Hades will wreak vengeance on the kingdom. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it's up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet.

MY REVIEW
My oldest and I are huge Descendants fans. We've watched since the first movie and have loved every minute of this trilogy. This was bitter sweet as we were excited to see Descendants 3, but also sad of the sudden death of Cameron Boyce, the actor who plays Carlos in this movie. So I just wanted to send our condolence to his family and friends.

With that being said, watching Descendants 3 brought back so many memories. Starting from the beginning as when we open we're celebrating VK Day (Villain Kids) where a few kids are picked to come from the Isle of the Lost to Auradon. Opening with a dance and song, we see who is chosen to come back to Auradon. If you've watched from the beginning, it's no surprise that Dizzy was one of the first chosen, along with Smee's twins and Dr. Facilier's daughter, Celia. There's also a proposal that happens, which my teen squealed for joy watching.

Without giving too much of the movie away, the new Villain kids are on their way back from the Isle to Auradon when Hades tries to break through, which ends up putting Mel in a hard place as she decides that there has been too many villains trying to come through to Auradon for the wrong reasons. But what her and the rest of the people in Auradon don't realize is that Audrey, Sleeping Beauty's daughter, who was in love with Ben in the beginning of this trilogy is upset that she didn't get the prince or her happy ever after, so she tries to destroy it by putting most of Auradon to sleep and casting a spell to destroy Mel.

Filled with lots of catchy songs and dances, Decendents 3 was a great ending to the trilogy and I'm sad to see it end. We got to see Uma and her crew, Harry and Gil as well and although she was the villain in the second movie, her and Mel are "trying" to work together to save Auradon and end up being friends.

We absolutely love the Descendants movies and can't wait to watch all three back to back for a great movie night. Not only are we partnering up with Disney Canada to win a copy of Descendants 3, but we also have a free SVG  "Rotten To The Core,"for you as well because I had to make my teen a shirt that brought back memories from us first watching the movies because although these Villain Kids are now happy in Auradon, they'll always be Rotten To The Core to us! Descendants 3 is now out on DVD to purchase! Comment who your favorite Disney villain is for a chance at winning a copy of Descendants 3!

Thirsty Thursday: Coors Slice Review

As we are wrapping up the last month of summer before the kids head back to school, we're still enjoying last minute dips in the pool or spare of the moment barbecues with friends and family. With the weather still being pretty warm out, on days where we are enjoying ourselves, the hubby and I enjoy a nice beer every once in a while. I'm more into wine than beer, but when it's really hot out and after doing some yard work, you can definitely catch me with a nice cold one to cool me down. So when we were sent Coors Slice, both the hubby and I were pretty excited to try it. My hubby more so than me because his favorite beer is Coors Banquet and he also loves orange flavored drinks. So that's why this week's Thirsty Thursday we're sharing our thoughts on Coors Slice.

With the classic Coors taste, Coors Slice is crisp and smooth. The orange citrus flavor is mild yet refreshing. It does not over power the Coors signature taste, but adds that extra summer kick of orange. As my hubby said it wouldn’t replace his case of Coors Banquet, which is his go to, but would definitely add into the mix for a nice treat during the hot weather. It's a great summer drink to have and is perfect for summer parties.

You can find Coors Slice at your local Beer Store starting at $2.90 per 473ml can. For more information about Coors Slice and other Coors products be sure to head to their website.

MY REVIEW
This was such a cute and awesome DVD! As a new and first time mom, I knew I wanted to introduce my son to Sesame Street. I grew up watching it and knew that it was a show that my son had to watch too, so when we got the opportunity to review Dance Party, I knew it would be a great way to introduce my son to one of my childhood shows.

My son is almost five months and is just starting to watch and notice the T.V. while in his jumper and he is in love with Sesame Street. Every morning he wakes up at 6am and I'm, of course, still so exhausted, so while I'm getting myself up and ready for the day,  I pop on the DVD and he watches it. He loves the colors and activity and I love that he learns while watching it. I also love that as he gets older and continues to watch Sesame Street, he'll continue to learn the more he understands and grows. It was awesome to see that the show still has celebrity guest stars on the show that I can recognize, like, Nicole Kidman, Ne-Yo and Jason Derulo. I can tell that we're going to be watching Dance Party and I can't wait to see my son's progress when learning from our favorite Sesame Street characters.

Sesame Street: Dance Party is now available and out on DVD. For more information about where to purchase, be sure to head over to the Shout Factory.

So happy we got to review this DVD, it's become our new go to favorites to watch and I'm excited to offer a copy to one of our readers as well. Just comment below sharing who your favorite Sesame Street character is to enter!

Okko's Inn Blu-ray Review & Giveaway

After losing her parents in a car accident, Okko goes to live in the countryside with her grandmother, who runs a traditional inn near an ancient spring said to have healing waters. Okko soon discovers there are spirits living there only she can see – welcoming ghosts who keep her company, play games and help her navigate her new environment. Okko strives to be a gracious host, and this is soon put to the test by a string of challenging guests with different stories. But ultimately Okko discovers that dedicating herself to others becomes the key to taking care of herself.

MY REVIEW
Okko’s Inn is an anime movie about a young girl named Okko who sadly loses her parents in a car accident. She then moves in with her grandmother at the family inn and learns the ways of a junior innkeeper and meets spirits as well. Okko and her spiritual friends take the task of dealing with challenging guests, new life styles, and dealing and accepting the past.

As she moves fourth in her new life she must come to terms with the passing of her family, and accept that they are always there with her. She meets new friends, new guests, and new challenges, but is able to overcome them all.

This movie has brought me to laughter, tears, and understandings. Okko’s Inn is a great movie and I would definitely recommend it to all anime lovers and those who like a movie about remembrance and closure as well as some laughs. A 10/10 rated movie in my opinion and would absolutely recommend it to some of my friends and family who love anime.

Navigate treacherous arenas filled with breakaway platforms, icy floors, and acid pools. From the Frosty Fields to the Dusty Desert, tricky levels with multiple angles of attack imperil posteriors.

MY REVIEW
Brief Battles is such a fun game to play. This was the perfect game that my twelve year old son got to play and he absolutely loved it, especially when playing with his friends. What I loved was how family friendly the game is so all my kiddos were able to play and when we have our family video game nights (yep, we have those because I absolutely love playing video games) we were all able to play with no problem. My five year old loved that she was able to play a game with her older siblings without dying or feeling like she couldn't pass the levels like they did.

In Brief Battles you are playing as a little sphere with arms and legs. The concept of the game is pretty similar to other battle games, by trying to defeat the enemies in each arena by using your double or super jump and crashing on them. Once you get enough power you are then able to use your power-ups that give you special powers. There are several different powers you can receive when you power up, you can get super speed, stick to walls or even get to through green goo at your enemies.

There are multiple skins you can wear to tell who is who when playing. Each level is colorful, unique and challenging in its own way, but so much fun to play. It's not hard to figure out when starting and the more players you have playing with you, the more fun it is.

Brief Battles is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation®4, and Steam. To learn more about Brief Battles, check out the official website or follow Juicy Cupcake on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

MY REVIEW
This was a super fun game to play! I really like how every object in the game, can be a challenge, like the boxes. The boxes really get in the way which makes it more difficult to get through the level, but also makes it more fun to play! They even bounce when they land on the jumpers.

Let's Go Nuts is an easy game to play and I really enjoyed it. It's a great game that you would play if you had a bad day and needed to relax. It's even a great game to play for younger kid who aren't as experienced with video games yet. It is a game that appeals to all ages. What I loved most about this game was that you're able to play with multi-player by coming together to save the forest or you can play with multi-players in a competitive mode, which is so much fun.

We spend a lot of time with my younger sisters, who are five and twelve years old and this is a game they both love playing! I love that we can all get together and play Let's Go Nuts without any one of us getting stuck or finding the game hard to play. Each level is

The only thing that I would change is the soundtrack. I would add more songs. Currently there is only one that is played throughout the whole game, every level. It does get a little repetitive, so if we had different music on each level or every other level, that would be great. Overall, I really enjoyed Let's Go Nuts, it will be played for a while in our house!

Let’s Go Nuts is now available in English for $9.99, with a 70% discount on Nintendo Switch for a limited time.
