Summer of Space with Ontario Science Centre & DK Canada!

One of the things I love about having a partnership with companies I trust is that some times we get invited to special events and although most we aren't able to make it due to us being about 4 hours away from Toronto, I'm happy to say that when we were given an invite to the Ontario Science Centre to celebrate Summer of Space this summer, we were happy to accept the invite.

We were given full access to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. We went on the weekend of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.  We were excited to go and went during the weekend of my twelve year old's birthday. We were given 7 tickets and although once we got there and they couldn't find our tickets, the staff easily helped us get full access to the centre to enjoy our visit. The center is clean and well maintained. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and accessible to all guests, so when you have a question about something, they were right there and happy to help.

There were science-based games and activities for all ages, with new space-themed exhibitions, IMAX® films and a planetarium show for us to watch. Below are some of the activities they had that we got to enjoy:

Apollo 11: First Steps Edition IMAX Film
Astronaut Exhibition
Women in Space Exhibition
Lego Activities
Daily Science HotSpots
Apollo 11 Artifacts
Construct A Canadarm

LANDER: From Avro to Apollo Documentary Film

My five year old daughter had the best time of all of us that went, she had a blast and enjoyed every minute of our visit. The interactive play areas are incredible. There were so many people and the activities were a bit chaotic, I suspect this was only because there was a larger turn out to the moon landing anniversary than expected. We still had a blast and enjoyed our time there.

Our absolute favorite experience was the Planetarium! Everyone including my 4-month-old grandson loved the Planetarium.  It felt like hitting a magical reset button after a long day of driving, activities and exhibits.  It was a great experience. We made a lot of memories and would definitely recommend visiting the Ontario Science Centre if you're looking for something that the entire family can do together.

The Ontario Science Centre, informs and challenges our communities, offering hands-on experiences and engagement with science of local, national and global relevance. The Science Centre has been opened since 1969, implementing an interactive approach adapted by science centres around the world. The Science Centre is the public centre for innovative thinking and the prime venue for public dialogue about science, technology and society. The Summer of Space will be continuing throughout the month of August, so if you're thinking about a last minute trip before school is back in session, we definitely recommend checking out Summer of Space at the Ontario Science Centre. Big thanks to DK Canada for providing us with tickets and Reach For The Stars books to bring with us to make our visit even more fun!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received tickets to Ontario Science Centre at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
