Suncoat Girl Nail Polish @PolishCanada Review

My daughter and I are both girly girls. We love make-up, nail polish, dressing up, doing/getting our hair done together. So when we had the opportunity to try Suncoat Girl Nail Polish we were both really excited. My daughter, of course was excited to be getting new polishes to add to her collection. I on the other hand was pretty excited to try Suncoat Girl Nail Polish because it's safe for kids.

Suncoat Girl Nail Polish is a water based, odorless and chemical free polish. Not only did that impress me alone, but I was also impressed that when ready to be removed, all my daughter has to do is peel the polish and it comes right off. How awesome is that?!

We got to try four polishes, Mermaid Blue, Strawberry Delight, Sunflower and Gorgeous Green. I let my daughter pick them out. She was pretty excited about that as well. My daughter's favorite was the Mermaid Blue and I have to say I fell in love with the Strawberry Delight. These colors are all beautiful shades and only take a couple coats before you have perfect bright and beautiful nails. If you only want to put one coat on, the colors are a bit light, but that's still perfect for a little girl.

Nail polish that not only doesn't smell like your ordinary nail polish, but also is easily to peel off, it's perfect for any young girl and for spa parties for their friends! My husband was very surprised to come in to see my daughter and I doing our nails and was happy he couldn't smell anything.

Be sure to check out Suncoat Girl Nail Polish for your little princess at Nail Polish Canada. All orders are free shipping in Canada with no minimum purchase!

Thirsty Thursday: Mango Lemonade

Summer is here and the along with it came the beautiful heat I've been waiting for, for months. Even being eight months pregnant, I for one will try my hardest not to complain about the weather after the horrible Winter we had. Instead I'm taking the time to make and enjoy nice and refreshing Summer drinks for myself and my kiddos to enjoy.

That's why this week's Thirsty Thursday is Mango Lemonade. I unique twist on your classic lemonade. I've made a couple different lemonades and shared them on the blog and although the Watermelon Lemonade is one of my favorites, I have to say, this Mango is climbing its way up to the top. I love the combination of both the mango and lemon, it's different, but delicious.

I love that you can mix pretty much any fruit with lemonade and it comes out tasting great. What is your favorite twist on lemonade?

Teen Wolf Season 3 Part B DVD Review #MOONDay

While Scott struggles to find his place as an Alpha, he, Allison and Stiles begin to experience strange side effects as a result of re-igniting the power within Beacon Hills. They soon discover that the answer to their problems may be found in a new student named Kira, a girl with remarkable powers of her own.

What a great second end to a season. If you are not already a fan the show, Teen Wolf, I suggest you get caught up and be as obsessed with this show as I am. What I really loved about this season was that we got more episodes then any other season, which means this show is kicking butt!

Season 3B starts off with Scott, Stiles and Allison all having symptoms from when they re-ignited the power within Beacon Hills in season 3A. When we think that it's over for them and that they have overcome yet another type of evil enemy, things are getting more and more strange with Stiles. Spoiler alert, he gets possessed and throughout the entire season the gang is trying to find ways to save him. This second half of the season definitely had us on our toes throughout all episodes and we were also introduced to a few new characters, one being a new love interest for Scott.

What does suck about the ending of season 3B is that we loose a character that, in my opinion, shouldn't have died. I won't spoil it for those of you who are not caught up yet, but a favorite character does die and it effects all of our main characters.

Season 3B is now out and available for purchase on DVD. If you're a fan, you definitely need this in your collection so you can enjoy this second half of the season just as much as I did. Also, be sure to tune in on Mondays on MTV at 10pm, season four has just started!

Witches of East End Season One DVD Review

Witches of East End” stars Emmy award-winning Julia Ormond (Temple Grandin) as Joanna Beauchamp, an ageless mother trying to keep a supernatural secret from her daughters, Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum; Step Up) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston; (500) Days of Summer) so they can lead a normal life. But when Joanna’s estranged sister (Mädchen Amick; “Twin Peaks”) arrives to warn her of an evil entity out to destroy them all, Joanna is forced to reveal the truth about her family’s magical legacy. Co-starring Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Eric Winter (“Days of Our Lives”) and Daniel DiTomasso (“Beauty and the Beast”), this powerful and enchanting drama series will cast its spell on you!

It seems that super natural shows are still popular even years later. With shows about Vampires and Wolves, it's only natural that there would be a show dedicated to Witches again since Charmed ended years ago. I was pretty excited when Witches of East End came out. This show is filled with lots of drama and action. This show kind of reminds me of that movie, Practical Magic in a way. Not that it's exactly like that, but magic isn't known to the daughters, Ingrid and Freya until their aunt arrives in town. Definitely a show that will catch your attention and a show that will have you wanted to watch more and more. The first season is now out on DVD. You can catch up on season one before season two comes out, Sunday, July 6th!
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received Witches of East End Season One on DVD at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.

Get Clean This Summer w/ @KandooKids Body Wash!

The weather is hot and although Summer break for my kids doesn't officially start until next Thursday, Summer has seem to make its way into our home and I couldn't be more happier. I'm always really excited for Summer Break, almost as excited as the kids. Not only will this mean no packing lunches for mom, but it also means that that there will be lots of outdoor playing going on for the kiddos.

From the time my kids wake up, eat breakfast, brush their teeth and get dressed in the mornings, they are quick to head outside to play with their neighborhood friends. What this means for them, hours of play time, lots of snacks, swimming and then some. What will this mean for me once they are in for the evening? Two sweaty kids who need to take baths/showers ASAP!

Fortunately for me we will have Kandoo's Body Wash to help out with keeping my two little ones clean. As some of you already know, we love Kandoo in our house. We've been using their products ever since my daughter started potty training. Here we are seven years later and we still love Kandoo and all of their products.

What I love most about having my kids use the Kandoo Body Wash is knowing how safe it is and how easy it is for my kiddos to use. With the frog shaped bottle, you can put the body wash in the corner of your tub and it fits perfectly, plus it's tear free. You don't have to worry about your kiddos accidentally getting soap in their eyes and irritating them. It comes in two scents, Funny Berry and Tropical Smoothie. I love the smell of both of them. The body wash contains Vitamin E and Natural Fruit Extracts that helps moisturize your child's body when cleaning. The body wash also dispenses out in bright colored foam soap, which helps your child know when they are covered in soap for a better clean in the bath.

There is no doubt in my mind, this Summer my kids will be staying clean and having fun with Kandoo. You can check out more information about Kandoo Body Wash and their other products by visiting

Appreciating Dad! #NaturallyAtHome

Father's Day has came and gone. Although normally we go out for a huge Father's Day Campout weekend with the entire family, being that I'm eight months pregnant, both the hubby and I thought it was a good idea for us to pass this year and stay at home.

I decided to make this a relaxing weekend that my hubby would enjoy since he definitely deserves it. He's such a family man, always putting us first and always making sure that myself and the kids are happy. He works his butt off to make sure that we have all that we need and then some. Even working long 12 hour days, he still has enough energy when he comes home to hangout and play with our kids. I'm such a lucky woman to have such a wonderful provider and father for our family. Not only is he a wonderful husband and father, but he's also a great friend. He is always there to help a friend out or just listen to them when they need to vent. He's definitely one of a kind.

Over the weekend we went around town for walks up and down the Navy Yard and even stopped at our local ice cream parlor that has been open for over 30 years. On Sunday I made him his favorite meal and the kids helped me make him Mini Oreo Cheesecakes, which he loved. Father's Day was certainly a day where he got to relax, put his feet up and have a beer or two.

With the newest addition coming really soon, he's been not only working extra hours at work so that he can take time off for her, but also helping me eat healthier and exercising daily with me so that we both are ready for our little girl. One of the things that we both have been doing lately (especially since I haven't had coffee in a while) is substituting coffee with a ND Shake from Orange Naturals in the mornings.

Over the last couple of months, having a shake in the mornings has not only given us the energy we need to start our day, but also makes us feel better and I'm so proud to say that so far my hubby has lost over 20 pounds. He looks great and feels so much better throughout the day. With eating right and exercising daily, I've seen such an amazing change in him and I'm so proud of him. I can't wait until our daughter is born so that she can see what the other two kiddos and myself sees in this man we call our HERO!

For healthy tips, tricks recipes and more be sure to sign up for Orange Naturals Newsletter if you haven't done so already. They not only share with you tips and recipes on being healthy, but also share with you real stories from real people just like you!

Using Petroleum on A Daily Basis #QualityEssentials

Summer is just around the corner. What does that mean? Lots and lots of traveling time for the family and I. Although it won't be as much as last year, due to being 7 1/2 months pregnant, I still want to take the kids out to a few different places before our new addition arrives at the end of next month.

One thing is essential when getting ready to take one of our many different trips during our Summer vacation and that is having gas for our vehicle in order to get us to our destination. Did you know that Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world with 97% of those reserves in the Oil Sands? The oil sands are found in 3 parts in Canada: The Athabasca, Peace River, and Cold Lake areas in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

What does the Oil Sands have to do with taking Summer vacations, you ask? Well, having the access that we do have as far as being able to put gas in our vehicles to get us from place to place makes a big difference. Without it, how would we be able to enjoy taking road trips with our families?

A couple weekends ago, my family and I took a trip to Ohio to visit my husband's uncle to help celebrate his 50th birthday. It took us four hours to drive down there, which couldn't have been possible if we weren't able to have gas in our van to get there.

Not only in the summer, but petroleum is used in everyone's daily life. We count on petroleum to make gas for all types of transportation so that we are able to get from point A to point B. Without it how would we be able to get to work, get our kids to school or visit family members that reside in different parts of the country? If we didn't have gas for transportation, life would definitely not be the same as it is now.

Not only does crude oil produce gas for us, but it also creates lots of other products that are used in our everyday lives such as clothing, heat, make up, etc.

Our energy future lies in the oil sands, as it is a secure source to meet our growing demands that could also help create over 800,000 jobs in the next 25 years, which is definitely something our economy will need.

@MapleleaGirls - Saila Review

My daughter is about to be nine years old this Summer. So she is at that stage where she wants to play with barbies and dolls one day and then the next day thinks she's too old for them. She's definitely more of a craft and books kind of girl already.

So I was really shocked at how much she took an interest to the Maplelea Girls when we were offered a doll to review. She was super excited. She got to go on their website and pick out one of the six dolls she wanted and decided on Saila. After she was done picking out which doll she wanted she couldn't wait to receive it.

I'm so surprised it took me this long to realize we had Canadian made dolls here for our little girls. Although I am American, I married a Canadian and am raising kids here in Canada, so I was really excited that these  six dolls each represent the different parts and cultures in Canada. Each doll comes with a beautiful outfit along with a journal that shares their history and background. The journal also shares with you how to take care of your doll and their hair. If by chance your doll gets hurt or injured, you can call the Maplelea Spa and the doll will be replaced (for details about cost be sure to contact 1-800-668-4339).

Once we received Saila, which came in a big blue storage box that included the doll and a journal filled with lots of information about Saila and her background. I think this is one of the big things that sparked my daughter's interest. Not only did she have a doll to take care of, but she got to actually read facts about where the doll came from and her family.

I would have to say playing with Saila is one of her favorite things to do when she comes home from school. Although she's been loving the weather outside and playing outside, I do notice once she's in the house for the day, she opens up that journal with Saila in her arms and keeps on reading about her doll's history. There is even room in this 64 page journal for my daughter to write in as well. I've been loving hearing different facts about Saila from my daughter and love how much she loves this doll.

We've had Saila for almost three weeks now and I like that my daughter is still playing with her just like the day she first got her. Along with the package we received, we also got a Maplelea Girls Catalogue that included lots of different accessories and clothes that we can get for our doll.

For more information about Saila and the other Maplelea Girls be sure to check them out over their website. While you're there be sure to sign up to get their free catalogue so you and your little girl can look at all the Maplelea Girls have to offer.

Twilight Turtle Tunes T3 From @cloud_b (Review)

The weeks are getting closer to when my newest addition to my family will be here, at the end of next month! I can't tell you all how excited and nervous I am at the same time. We haven't had a newborn in our house in over seven years. So it's been a while, but I can't wait to start this baby stage again.

As a mom with two kids and one on the way, I remember vividly how my nighttime routines would go with my two other kiddos. We actually were pretty lucky because my daughter first slept through the night at three weeks and my son was at six weeks. Now this was when they were newborns. As they got older, although they slept through the night once they were sleep, putting them to bed was another thing. We used a couple of musical mobiles for both of them, which worked pretty well. The light kept them busy looking at something shiny while the music kept them entertained.

I few weeks back I received Cloud b's Twilight Turtle Tunes T3. This is the first Cloud b character that allows wireless bluetooth technology. I don't know about you, but this just seemed pretty cool. I love that Cloud b is keeping some of their products up with the latest technology so that it makes it easier for mommy to access when putting our little ones to sleep.

By using a free pre-app (for both IOS and Andriods) from Cloud b, I can choose from a pre-set library that has different melodies and sounds that will easily put my little one to sleep. Not only does it have lots of songs and sounds for you to choose from, one of the best parts about this turtle is that it lights up with star constellations so that your little one has something to look at while trying to fall asleep. This will definitely help so much at bedtime for those of our little ones who are afraid of the dark.

Not only is this turtle already set up in our nursery, but I've tried it out a few times and I'm a huge fan. Having this in our nursery and already have tested it out so that I know how to use it once my little one gets here makes me feel a lot better and gives me hope that we'll get lucky with another newborn who will sleep through the night.

The Twilight Turtle Tunes T3 retails for $64.99, you can find this product and other calming and soothing animals by visiting Cloud b online.

@Hexbug Battle Spider Review

My son is one of those boys who can easily get sucked into a toy phase with just the right toy. At first it was Thomas the Train, then Cars next Mario, Batman and he also had a phase with the Hexbug toys. Now if you remember a couple years back was the first time we were introduced to Hexbug and did a review on the Hexbug Nano. My son absolutely loved those little bugs and still plays with them often.

Fast forward two years later and he not only has a few of the Nano's in his Hexbug collection but, he also has the Hexbug Scarab he got last year and still plays with them both til this day. That's one thing I can say about my son, when he gets into a phase with a toy, it lasts for a while.

A few weeks ago, we were sent the latest from the Hexbug family, the Hexbug Battle Spider. Now what I find cool about this spider is that it came with a remote control so that you can easily move it around and this six legged spider has a full 360 degree steering feature.

Not only can you move this spider around the house, but you can even play laser tag with a friend if you have another spider. It's pretty awesome because each spider has a laser shooter and an indicator on the top of their head. So each time a spider is hit with another's laser, that spider's life will decrease and once the spider hits zero, it stops like it's dead for a few seconds. The remove control also has a two channel maneuver where the bugs can move independently or at the same time.

Once we realized that it would be so much more fun playing with a  friend, I'm excited to get another spider for my daughter so the kids can battle together and play when friends. The Hexbug Battle Spider is retailed at $34.95 and you can find it at your local Mastermind Toys or you can even visit their website to order as they ship to both US and Canada. If you have little ones that are fans of the Hexbug family, they will definitely enjoy the Battle Spider!

DIY: Thanks For Helping Me Grow ~ #TeachersGift

Hey guys! It's been a LONG time since I last shared a DIY post and thought today would be a perfect day to share one. I've been holding on to this one since last year and although most of the schools in the States are already on Summer Break, those of us in Canada still have kiddos in school until the end of June.

Today I thought I'd share with you a Thank You or Appreciation gift for your child's teacher. Throughout the years I have been really lucky getting teachers for both my kids that have not only been overly helpful, but also patient, kind and keeping me in the loop with how my kids have been doing in school. These are the type of teachers who need to be rewarded and it ony takes a little effort to let them know that we as parents appreciate everything they do for our kids.

This year has been no different for the teacher's that my kids have had this year and I although I'm sharing with you what I made for my kid's teachers last year, I already have what I want to do for their teacher's this year and hope to share that with you all soon too.

This is such an easy and fun project that's not expensive and very easy to do.

Thanks For Helping Me Grow Teacher's Gift Idea
Clay Pot (Got mine at local Dollar Store)
Yellow Paint
Black Paint
Red Paint (optional)
White Paint Marker
Black Sharpie
Plant of Choice

I headed to my local dollar store. I picked up two clay pots that were only a buck. Along with the pots I also picked up yellow, black and red paint. Now you can definitely pick up some acrylic paint from your local dollar store to keep this under a $10 gift. I got a white paint marker and picked up a plant at my local Walmart.

First thing I did was paint the rim yellow. Once that dried I then started painting the black on the bottom half of the pot. Once the pot was dry I then added lines and numbers on the rim to give it a ruler look using a black sharpie.

I then used a white paint marker to write: "Thanks For Helping Me Grow," on the black part of the pot. I also used red paint and painted my kids hands red and then pressed it on the sides of the pot that had no writing on it. Once that dried I wrote my child's name and the year they were in their teacher's class on the back of the pot using the white paint marker. Once that was dry I then added the plant and that's it.

Very easy, simple and affordable teacher's gift for your little one's teacher just to let them know that they're hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

Vaseline Men 24 Hour Moisture Spray Lotion Review

Summer is definitely around the corner. The weather is getting better and better and I for one am so happy I could scream. With the harsh Winter we had, I don't think any one should be complaining about the heat this Summer. Not only was the Winter cold and harsh, but it did a number on our skin. Last month I got to review the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizers. Not only did it help lock in moisture to keep my skin hydrated, it also saves time when getting ready on rushed days.

Well this time I want to introduce you all to the Vaseline Men 24 Hour Moisture Spray Lotion. My husband was pretty excited when we received both the Fast Cooling and Fast Absorbing spray lotions and I have to say they didn't disappoint.

Both spray lotions relieves dry skin in seconds and leaves your skin feeling moisturized without that greasy and sticky feeling. It didn't feel heavy which was great for my husband. He has a hard time using some lotions because they don't feel good on his skin, but he was a huge fan of both the Fast Cooling and Fast Absorbing spray lotions. He loved that they both felt light on his skin and was easy to apply and he didn't miss any spots.

I loved the smell of both lotions. SERIOUSLY! They smell so good and honestly if you're a man that puts on cologne, you won't have to after applying this lotion. The scent isn't too heavy, but definitely smells really good and this could definitely save you time instead of applying both lotion and cologne.

The hubby has been using both spray lotions for over a month and has already had me by a couple more so that he can wear them throughout the Summer. I've noticed a huge difference in his skin. It feels softer and that's definitely a bonus!

If you're looking for a quick on the go moisturizer that isn't too heavy and works quickly be sure to check out Vaseline's Spray & Go. They can be found at retails for around $6.99-$8.99 a bottle. If you want to give some other Spray & Go products a try check out our reviews for both the St. Ives' Hydration Spray Lotion and Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizers, all products from Unilever.
