A Bathroom Makeover w/ ben & ME #DIYwithBen

When we first moved into our house six years ago, I fell in love with it. Of course, when you move into the first house you buy you absolutely love it, but know that you have to makeover each room to make it your own. Well, we've done this to just about every room in our home, except one, our upstairs bathroom. I loved the color of the bathroom. The only thing that I didn't like was the type of texture that was on the walls in our bathroom. It was a grainy, sandy type of gray paint that the previous owners had used and I'm still confused as to why they would paint a bathroom with a textured paint. It's been a pain to keep clean and yet it's taken us six years to get rid of it.

Luckily, we were sent the new ben & ME bag to help us redo the bathroom from Benjamin Moore to get rid of that awful textured walls. I absolutely love Benjamin Moore with their high quality paint that goes on smooth and transforms any room. With the ben & Me bag, you can easily makeover any room in your house.

The ben & ME bag includes:
· 2 gallons of premium paint with 1 quart for trim
· Sleeve roller, paintbrush, paint tray, drop cloth, paint can opener and green painters tape
· How-To Guide and even a playlist to keep you on a roll!

Now, I did love the color of my bathroom before. The only thing I didn't like was the texture on the walls. So with my ben & ME bag, I went out and picked a similar color to the bathroom, but had my hubby sand down the texture before we started to paint.

This is where their How-To Guide came in handy. Filled with lots of tips on how to easily transform a room, we made sure that we prepared before starting painting by taping the walls so that we didn't get paint on the sink, door and trim and making sure that we painted the edges of the walls first and then worked our way to painting the walls.

I picked out dolphin AF-715. It definitely is a bit lighter then how our bathroom looked before, but if you ask my kids, they can't tell the difference. I definitely can with how smooth the walls are now and just by how cleaner the bathroom looks. With little ones, having a wall that's easy to clean is definitely a plus, especially in the bathrooms.

The ben & ME bag is definitely worth a buy if you're looking to makeover a room in your home. I love how easy it was to redo our bathroom and that the kit comes with everything you need to redo a room, and that you don't have to worry about something being missing.
