One of the best parts of Fall has to be all the warm and delicious drinks we get to snuggle up with on the couch or outside on your front porch on a beautiful Fall day. A perfect Fall day to me is reading a book under my zebra print snuggie while sipping on a warm drink.
I had the opportunity to try the new Gay Lea Real Coconut Whipped Cream. This just kicked whip cream up a notch. This delicious creamy flavorful whipped cream gives your ordinary coffee a boost. It definitely has a coconut taste that will bring your ordinary whipped cream to shame. The taste isn't over powering, it's just the right amount of coconut flavor.
Gay Lea Real Coconut Whipped Cream is non dairy and lactose free, so even those of you that are vegan or lactose intolerance can enjoy the delicious Coconut Whipped Cream. It's cholesterol free and only contains 13% fat. This is definitely a more healthier choice than some of the other whipped creams out there.
Not only would this be a great add to your pumpkin latte and hot chocolate, but it also tastes delicious served with fruit and would be great on pumpkin and pecan pie. I was able to bring a couple to our Thanksgiving dinner at my in laws and everyone loved it on their pumpkin pie bites that I brought along as well. My mother in law absolutely loves coconut, so this was a perfect add to her pumpkin pie.
This is why this week's Thirsty Thursday is Nutty Coconut Coffee. I got the recipe over on the Gay Lea website and altered it a bit adding coconut milk to give my coffee an even more coconut taste. Ingredients
2C Freshly Brewed Dark Roast Coffee
2oz Cocnut Milk
2oz Bailey's Hazelnut Flavour
Gay Lea Real Coconut Whipped Cream
Dash of Cinnamon
Chocolate Syrup (optional)
Directions:
Make coffee. Add in the coconut milk and Bailey's Hazelnut. Pour into two mugs and top with a generous amount of Real Coconut Whipped Cream, a dash of cinnamon and chocolate syrup. Drink and enjoy!
