Quality Time w/ The Kiddos & Thomas and Friends #FP_Thomas

Time seems to be going by pretty quickly. My kids are getting so big and are becoming more and more independent. It feels like yesterday I had a toddler and a newborn in our house and now I have two wonderful, respectful, smart kids who are becoming busier and busier with school and after-school activities.

Even though the school year is here and there some times doesn't feel like enough hours in the day the hubby and I still make it a point to spend quality time with our little people. We've been doing family game night for years now and since you all know how much we love watching movies we also have movie nights as well. Movie nights are usually on Friday and game night is usually on Sunday, which is perfect because it leaves Saturday open for extra gatherings with friends and extended family.

One of our best times we've had together was when we took my son out for A Day Out With Thomas for his fourth birthday. I've never seen him so excited. My son has been a fan of Thomas and Friends for years now. So much so that his great aunt made him a blanket when he was around two and then recently when we went on a family vacation to visit her in California this past March she made him another one. Not only does he has countless train sets, almost every character on the show, Thomas clothes and pajamas, but he has tons of Thomas DVD's in our movie collection. So on movie nights when he gets to pick, he definitely reaches for his latest Thomas and Friends DVD.

Whether it's family movie nights or playing with your kids and their favorite Thomas and Friends toys, I think we can all agree that not only is the show great for kids to watch, but playing with the Thomas and Friends toys are also gives you a great learning skill with putting tracks together and opens up your child's imagination to endless possibilities.

There's always something new for your child to experience being a fan of these characters. Released on September 24th was the latest DVD to this series, Thomas and Friends: King of The Railroad as well as two new toy sets: Take 'N Play: Thomas Adventure Castle Playset and Trackmaster Castle Track Set.

King of the Railway DVD
Join Thomas & Friends as they embark on a legendary movie adventure! The steam team's quest begins when a special guest arrives on Sodor with a big surprise and important jobs for Thomas, Percy and James. The engines meet new friends and discover suits of armour; coats of arms and legends of long-ago heroes. Then their bravery is put to the test when their new friend Stephen goes missing. Will Thomas find him in time? Will the engines discover the truth about the Island of Sodor's biggest mystery? It's a crusade of knightly proportions for Thomas & Friends in this epic movie!

My son recently received the Thomas and Friends Trackmaster Castle Track Set from my dad as a belated birthday gift, so he was pretty happy. Looks like Santa knows to bring him the latest movie and the Take 'N Play Thomas Adventure Castle for Christmas.

Inspired by the Thomas & Friends™ DVD movie, King of the Railway, the track set features Thomas’ journey for the missing King’s crown. Can your child help him navigate the crumbling castle grounds and emerge with the prize? Use the crane to swing the missing track in place so Thomas can continue on his journey as walls collapse around him. He needs to race through the castle before the gate drops down, then descend into the abandoned mine and escape with the crown! With excitement around every turn, the TrackMaster™ Castle Quest Set provides endless entertainment! Requires 1 AA battery. Ages 3+

Inspired by the new Thomas & Friends adventure, King of the Railway, Thomas’ Adventure Castle puts movie-size fun right in the hands of your little engineer! It’s time to get Ulfstead Castle ready for the Earl of Sodor’s celebration, so Thomas and the Troublesome Truck are racing down the track to get the job done! As they zoom downward, the flags unfurl and the treasure is revealed! Thomas and Troublesome Truck come together at the bottom to knock down the drawbridge as the knights arrive! Then they load up the King’s treasure to display for all to see! 3Y+

What I love most about the Trackmaster Castle Track Set just like all the other track sets is that they can all connect together and all of the trains can ride on the tracks, which can make for hours of endless play time and imagination.
