New Girl: Season 2 DVD {Review}

The romantic tension between Jess (Emmy® Nominee Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) escalates in the hilarious, quirky second season of “New Girl” — but will they ever hook up? Meanwhile, Schmidt fails to be hip, Winston isn’t “prepared” for a hot date, and Nick faces a death in his dysfunctional family. While Jess does her best to replace Cece on a modeling job and a drunk Elvis impersonator at a funeral, Schmidt and Winston hope to rearrange Cece’s arranged marriage. Relive all 25 outrageous episodes featuring guest stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Rob Reiner and Dennis Farina, and enjoy fun bonus material — including the extended version of the hugely popular “Virgins” episode — only available on the DVD.

MY REVIEW
This is one of my favorite shows. It's filled with hilarious and lovable characters and keeps you interested in the great story line as well. If you have yet to watch New Girl, you are definitely missing out. This is one of my favorite shows and if you remember I got to review season one last year. Now that season two is now out to purchase in stores, let me just say that those of you that are fans of the show need this is your DVD collection and for those of you who have yet to watch it, I suggest getting into it now.

Season two starts off with Schmidt trying to deal with the breakup with Cece and moves it's way to Cece realizing that she wants more in life so she finally gives in and lets her mother try and set her up with an arranged marriage and when she finally does Schmidt has a hard time accepting it. When he finally does come to terms to her getting married and moves on with his old college girlfriend is when Cece realizes that she is still in love with him. You'll have to watch to see if she goes through with the wedding or not.

Also during this season we see both Jess and Nick in relationships with other people even though it is so clear that they are both attracted to one another. They try really hard to deny it but towards the last few episodes of the season end up giving in and kissing one another. The season finale leaves you with a couple cliff hangers with both Nick and Jess and Cece and Schmidt. Not only is the season hilarious, but the bonus feature with gag reels with the cast is just one of the many great reasons to have New Girl Season 2 in your home!
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received New Girl Season 2 on DVD at no cost for the purpose of this review. No compensation was received.
