The sins of the past haunt the present at the notorious Briarcliff home for the criminally insane, ruled with an iron fist by Sister Jude. Forbidden desire and terrifying evil lurk around every corner…from alien abduction to demonic possession to a skin-wearing psychopath known as "Bloody Face." Emmy® winner Jessica Lange leads an exceptional ensemble cast, including Zachary Quinto, James Cromwell and Sarah Paulson.

MY REVIEW
I am such a fan of the American Horror Story series. If you remember I reviewed season one last year and absolutely loved it. Even though I'm not much of a horror movie type girl, a television series is completely different. Season two was incredible and lived up to everyone's expectations. Not only did season two provide an entire different story from season one, but we still got to see the actors we loved in season one play different characters in season two.

The opening of season two brings you to the Briarcliff Asylum being run by Sister Jude. We meet Lana Winters, a gay reporter that's trying to write a story to expose Briarcliff for how they mistreat patience, but she ends up becoming a patient there being blackmailed by Sister Jude. Along the way she meets some of the other patience there and we find out more to their story on why they are in there. We see things that happen by staff in the asylum that shouldn't be and also witness one of the Sisters body being taken over by the devil. This show takes you from the past and present of where most of the characters are and is absolutely thrilling.

The writers of this show sure has done it again and if you love thrillers, this is definitely a show for you and should definitely be a show that you own. What I love most about how the American Horror Story seasons is that you can come into any season and be okay with watching since each season is a different story. If you haven't yet seen the latest, season three: The Coven, be sure to catch it on Wednesday nights at 10PM!
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received American Horror Story: Asylum on blu-ray at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
