REVIEW: Selena Gomez Nicole by OPI Holiday Gift Set #HolidayGiftGuide

OPI is loved by almost every girl out there. I’m for sure one of those girls! I got the chance to review a couple colors from the Selena Gomez (Nicole by OPI) color line. These two colors are a couple of the more bold ones in the line. They are “Pretty in Plum” and “Scarlett”, both of which came with a sample of “Gumdrops”.

Let me tell you that generally I’m a wimp when it comes to going a little crazy with my nail polish. Whenever I go to the nail salon I always tell myself that I’m going to get a little wild with my color selection…And each time I come out with basic French tips… So this was a good chance for me to break out of my comfort zone!

First I tested out “Pretty in Plum”. As you can see in the picture I painted my nails with this color then used the “Gumdrops” as an accent to paint on a zebra print on one of my nails… This was too wild for me, haha. At least for everyday wear. The color is much more bold on my skin tone than the picture shows. However, if I were having a night out on the town with the girls I’m would to break out this polish for sure (It’s fun, right!?).

Next, I gave “Scarlett” a go. Since I found my limit on my wild side with “Pretty in Plum”, I decided to compromise with my boldness. I did a French tip with this color and accented each nail with a line of “Gumdrops”. I love it! A crazy color with a classic twist, just to make a statement. Perfect girly/diva/adults-can-be classy-&-fun-too mix for the boldness impaired like myself. I know plenty of bold personality/style types that would give these colors the ‘thumbs-up’, and I would too! I’m going to rock these colors again!

Both colors are perfect for the Winter season and would be great stocking stuffers for this Holiday season. Both sets are available in stores now and retail for $10.99 each.
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received samples from the Selena Gomez Nicole by OPI collection at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
