Thirsty Thursday: Malibu Storm (Malibu Black Review)

The weather has been off the walls lately. There's been days where it's been pretty hot outside and days where it's been raining where you can't even step outside to enjoy Summer. I think I've mentioned this a few times before in previous posts. However, we are still enjoying our Summer and taking it day by day and always hoping for sunshine so we can lay out in the sun, fire up the grill and enjoy a nice Summer drink.

Last week we had one of those days. It was nice out and since I had been sent a bottle of Malibu Black, a darker rum from Malibu Rum, I thought it was a perfect time to make a nice cold Summer beverage. So that's why this week's Thirsty Thursday is Malibu Storm, made with Malibu Black.

Before making the drink I did have a chance to have a sip of the darker rum without any mixes in it. I loved it! It's smooth and crisp and still gives you that hint of coconut flavor leaving you wanting another sip. You do have to be careful with it though, Malibu Black is made with a higher alcohol content than the normal Malibu Rum and is a bit less sweeter than the lighter rum, but boy does it taste delicious. T

hose of you that want a step up from your normal Malibu Rum should definitely give this drink a try. And what better time to try than the long weekend that's coming up. Malibu Black is now available at your local LCBO for purchase and retails at around $25.95!
