Prometheus DVD/Blu-ray Combo Review

Archeologist couple Elizabeth Shaw (Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Marshall-Green) discover a star map that they interpret as an invitation from humanity's forerunners, the “Engineers.”  Determined to find out more about them, the couple boards the scientific vessel Prometheus, created and funded by Peter Weyland (Pearce), CEO of Weyland Corporation.  Lead by mission director Meredith Vickers (Theron) and monitored by Weyland’s android David (Fassbender), the team of explorers find a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth and embark on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe where they fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

MY REVIEW
The hubby and I had the opportunity to review the Bluray DVD of Sci-fi adventure 'Prometheus'. Now, keep in mind we're not expert movie critics - but I do love getting the chance to snuggle up, watch a movie and hear everyone's thoughts on it afterwards, sometimes just to hear the range of opinions that can come from a movie like this one.

My first impression, it reminded me a lot of the 'Alien' movies, which right away my husband pointed out "That's because they're both Ridley Scott films." Ohhhh, that makes sense then.

The visuals are awesome! The storyline was good. In my opinion, I wished it would have been a little more detailed in the storyline, because it's one of those movies that leaves you kind of making up your own theories afterwards, and I felt like it jumped around quite a bit (with a father/daughter relationship, good vs. evil, God/creation) but again, all mixed up with some kick-ass visuals. The girlie side, I would have liked a deeper story. Hubby's side - he watched again the next day!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received Prometheus at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
