NINJAGO: Spinjitzu Slam - Zane Review #HolidayGiftGuide

My son loves to build with LEGOS, so when we were sent the new NINJAGO: Spinjitzu Slam - Zane, he was very excited. Now I'm a mom who usually leaves the LEGO building challenges to my husband, but since he was away for work when we got this set, my six year old begged me to build it.

With this LEGO set, kids can spin up a storm and take on ninja challenges with the spinning top toy. This fun-packed playset features a Zane Tornado Spinner which holds a minifigure and fits onto the easy-to-build spinner launcher, plus a buildable training dummy to use as a target and 2 shurikens that can also be sent spinning by the launcher. Great for solo or social play, kids will love recreating the ninja tornado effect as seen on the NINJAGO TV show and making up their own Spinjitzu Slam competitions with friends.

The set is designed for builders seven years old and above. With my six year old and myself, it took under an hour to build and Lego quality as expected is present in each component. We got organized and separated the 109 pieces into color pieces and followed the awesome step by step building guide.

The set gives you the opportunity to make Zane's Spinjitzu Tornado of Ice spinner. It comes with 3 attachments for attack, defense and also includes a Zane mini-figure. So you can pick which accessories to put on the "spinjutzu".

If new to the NINJAGO theme it may be wise to pick up another character from this collection to increase the play value. This set stands well alone but it would be more fun with friends who had other sets so that your child and their friends can play together. We were all pretty impressed on how well the spinner spins!

Overall this is a fun set whether you are a fan of the television series or not and I definitely want to pick up a couple more characters so that when my son has friends over they can all play together.

Now available, you can get the NINJAGO: Spinjitzu Slam LEGO set wherever LEGOS are sold. For more information about this set and other LEGO sets be sure to head over to their website.

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received the above mentioned LEGO set at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
