@Hexbug VEX Robotics Spider (Review) #HolidayGiftGuide

My son has always been curious when it comes to putting things together and figuring out how they work. Considering that his dad works in the auto industry and has shared with him that he builds machines to help run vehicles, has made the interest of figuring out how things are built grow even more.

When we received the Hexbug VEX Robotics Spider, I knew my son would absolutely love it. I've shared with you all before in previous reviews how much my son loves Hexbugs. He loves that they are little bugs that are robotic and can crawl around. He thinks it's so cool.

With the Robotic Spider kids are learning hands-on how to construct and build their very own jumbo-sized robot and customize its programming! I think Hexbug has hit a home run with this latest addition to their toys. The fact that my son already loves Hexbugs and add that he loves to build and put things together, this is the perfect toy for him and any other kid who loves to create and build things.

The Spider kit comes with over 350 snap together pieces and a centralized brain to bring the Spider to life. Kids can drive the robot manually with a remote control, or if they want, they can choose autonomous drive mode and watch as their Spider scurries around their house all by itself. What's really cool about this Spider is that it mimics real-life movements like a Spider. There's even a distance sensor light that alerts the spider before it crashes into anything, which is pretty awesome.

What I loved most about this was that my son and husband got to build the Robotic Spider together. Seeing them spend time together and then seeing the Spider come to life, you should have seen the look on my son's face. He was so proud. I absolutely would recommend the Spider VEX Robotic Kit for any kid who loves to create and build things.

The VEX Robotic Spider is retailed at $69.99 and would make a great gift this upcoming Holiday. For more information about the VEX Robotic Spider and other Hexbugs, head on over to www.hexbug.com.

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received the VEX Robotics Spider at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
