The Guilt Trip Blu-ray/DVD Review

Screen legend Barbra Streisand and comic master Seth Rogen “are the perfect comedy duo” (Shawn Edwards, Fox-TV) in director Anne Fletcher’s (The Proposal) delightful and heartwarming comedy that is “packed with laugh-out-loud moments” (Meriah Doty, Yahoo! Movies). As inventor Andy Brewster (Rogen) is about to embark on a road trip to sell his latest product, he feels compelled to invite his mother, Joyce (Streisand), along for the ride. Across 3,000 miles of adventure and antics both Andy and Joyce discover that while they have their differences, they also have more in common than they ever realized.

MY REVIEW

I had a great opportunity to review not only the movie, The Guilt Trip, but to share a viewing party kit with my mother, but seeing that my mom lives in California and I'm all the way here in Canada, I decided to share the viewing party kit with my mother in law. We had a great day. Included in the party kit was of course The Guilt Trip, which was wrapped in the Target exclusive Mother's Day blu-ray/DVD combo cover, along with a small spa gift basket that I gave to my mother in law to enjoy along with some nail polish, a s'mores kit and a few chocolate candies for us to enjoy.

We had a great time not only watching the movie, but we also had lunch together and chatted with each other about this up and coming Mother's Day and how excited we both are.

Now for my review, I absolutely love both Barbara Streisand and Seth Rogen. Having them in the same movie was not only hilarious  but their characters reminded me so much of my hubby and mother in law. It was such a great movie that shows you the love that is always there between a mother and her child no matter what may happen. 

This movie was filled with both hilarious and emotional obstacles that both mom and son go through during each stop they made during their road trip.It was definitely a great movie to watch. I'm glad I got to enjoy it with my mother in law and have already watched it with the hubby. He didn't find the resemblance between the characters and his mom and him as funny as I did, lol! 

If you have yet to see The Guilt Trip, the movie is now on blu-ray and DVD and would be a great movie to watch for this up and coming Mother's Day!
