Keeping Your Baby Cool During The Summer #disneybabyCA

I'm not sure if you guys saw the news last week on our Instagram page or if you've noticed the new badge on the side of the blog, but I am happy to finally announce that Just Us Girls are apart of the Disney Baby Mom Ambassador! I am super excited about this, especially since my new addition will be here two weeks from today. I absolutely love Disney and have been a customer of them for years. For my first born we did her nursery using the Disney Princess Theme and with my son we did Disney Cars theme. I'm super excited to share that we're doing a Minnie Mouse theme with the latest addition.

I'm always trying to keep my kiddos cool during the hot Summer months. Making sure they have sunblock on, wearing a hat, having fun with water and keeping them hydrated with plenty of water to drink are some of the ways we like to keep cool during the hot months.

Since my new addition will be here in a couple of weeks and with a month and a half left before Fall is officially here, here are a few tips from Disney Baby that I will be using with my newborn and thought I'd pass along to any of you readers out there with little ones to keep cool.

TIPS ON KEEPING BABY COOL THIS SUMMER:

1) Embrace Layering: Make sure you don’t overdress your baby. Loose-fitting, lightweight clothes are best, and light layers mean you can add and remove clothes as necessary.

2) Stick to the Shade:  Stay in the shade when you can find it and create some when you can’t. Buying an umbrella stroller is a great way to ensure that your little one is always protected from the sun.

3) Keep Baby Hydrated: If you’re spending a lot of time in the heat, you need to spend a lot of time nursing as well. Like you, your baby gets dehydrated and needs to replenish fluids. If your baby is older, make sure you always have Sippy Cups ready at hand.

4) Find Some Air-Conditioning: Malls, movie theatres and libraries all have air conditioning, and offer a great place to take a break from the heat. Not to mention, they’re a great place for both you and your baby to find entertainment.

5) Have a Splash: Letting your baby play in a paddling pool or on a splash pad is a fun and easy way to cool them down. If you don’t have access to one of these, try a cool bath, or simply sprinkle some water on your baby’s hair.

During the Disney Baby Mom program, I'll be sharing with you lovely readers monthly tips, new products and on occasion, giveaways from Disney Baby. Just Us Girls is one of twenty Canadian blogs that are apart of this program and to welcome us all, we were sent a lovely package that contains some awesome goodies for our little ones.
