Celebrating Canadian Flicks On Netflix ! #StreamTeam

This month we celebrated the birth of our country. Whether it was celebrating with friends and family at a barbecue or by yourself in the comfort of your own home, another Canada Day has come and gone. We actually celebrated by heading to our town's annual Ice Cream Festival and Fireworks. We had a blast and can't wait for next year's celebrations.

Did you know there are lots of Canadian shows and movies that are on Netflix that were either filmed in Canada, take place in Canada or were created here in O, Canada?! I was surprised and proud by the many shows and movies that I came across that are inspired by Canada some how. Some of the movies and shows I've seen on numerous times and just didn't know that they had any affiliation with Canada, but sure am glad to know that they do.

I use to watch, Are You Afraid Of The Dark? and Goosebumps as a kid and love watching them now with my kiddos, although what I thought was scary back then is not scary at all, it's awesome to see my kid's reaction to the same shows I use to watch.

If you're still celebrating Canada this month, be sure to check out the following films and television shows on Netflix for both younger and older kids:

Are You Afraid of The Dark?
Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Goosebumps
Johnny Test

Team Umi Zoomi
Super Why
Franny's Feet
Caillou

What are your favorite Canadian inspired shows/movies on Netflix?

Disclosure: I am part of the Stream Team Campaign with Netflix and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
