We don't really drink pop in the house and I rarely buy it, but juice is another thing. We drink juice all the time, which is no better then pop with all the sugar that's in them. So about a month ago I found a recipe for Sassy Water, tried it, loved it. It tastes so good and the best part about it is that it's healthy for you, like, seriously healthy for you.
Sassy Water helps you shed pounds around your midsection by eliminating buildup of contaminants, excess water and fat. The cucumbers is a natural diuretic that helps the body release stored excess water. The ginger boosts your metabolism and helps calm and sooth your GI tract. Perfect for those of us that are trying to loose a bit of weight.

Ingrediants:
8 1/2 Cups of water
1 Teaspoon of grated Ginger
1 Medium cucumber (sliced thin)
1 Large Lemon (sliced thin)
12 Mint Leaves
Directions:
Mix All Ingredients together in a pitcher and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning strain and drink all 8 1/2 cups through out the day.
Try avoiding other drinks (coffee, soda, alcohol) when drinking the Sassy Water that day.

I'm a huge water drinker. Always looking for new ways to spruce up my glasses of water. Usually I just use berries and cucumber. I'll have to try out Sassy Water though. I love the benefits you've listed.
ReplyDeleteSounds fantastic! Not sure I can give up my coffee, but this sounds like a great way to drink water :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow - that sounds yummy!!! Will haver to try that out. Thanks! I've been drinking hot lemon water. Why do I have to give up my coffee though? I'm with Did You Know Canada on that one - is there a reason???
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome & I am one who both needs to drink more water & lose some extra poundage around my belly! I'm bookmarking this one! Is it hard to find fresh mint?
ReplyDeleteI love love love cucumber in my water... makes the water so refreshing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! This is actually my face mixture! I find I drink much more water if it's flavoured. Totally psychological? LOL I rarely drink water if I don't have lemon or lime in it.
ReplyDeleteCrap! Darn auto correct! That should have been "fave" and not face!!!
ReplyDeleteJust about to make this right now! Thanks for sharing because I need to drink more water and this seems a fun way to do it!
ReplyDeleteCan you reuse the lemon/cukes for another batch?
