So today I figured I'd spread the word and share with you this easy peasy declogger/drain cleaner recipe I found a couple of years ago and what I use in my house bi-monthly. Even if I don't have a clog I try and use this every once in a while just to clear things in our drains. And you know what, I haven't had to rush to the store to buy Drano and have saved a few bucks in my pocket. Anything helps!
DIY: Homemade Drain Cleaner/Declogger
Source: Adapted from Food.com
Ingrediants:
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Vinegar
Directions:
Pour your baking soda in your sink/tub/drain first.
Next pour in your vinegar. Let it sit for a few minutes before pouring hot water down the sink.
Drains should be good to go!

Like you, I've been looking for a DIY drain cleaner and declogger too! Aside from your mentioned baking soda and vinegar mixture, you can also try pouring hot water with salt to your drains at least once a week to prevent any accumulation of dirt that might block the drains.

Wow, that's pretty impressive that something so simple can work such wonders on clogs. My kids have a talent for clogging drains in our house.
