MY REVIEW
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and 5 More Sleeps 'til Christmas is such a cute and festive book to have to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Bailey was very excited when we received this book from our friends over at Raincoast Books.
This book starts on December 20th, which happens to be my birthday, so that made me love this story even more. Diving right into the story we read as the main character lets us know how many days left until Christmas. He shares what he's done to stay on the nice list and at the end of each night, we see him having a hard time falling asleep from all of his excitement, and just when he thinks he'll stay up all through the night, we see him snoozing on his bed.
I love that we get to enjoy this book around the holidays and we've added it to our Christmas book collection that continues to grow. With Bailey being in grade one and continuing to learn to read, we read her this story once and from then on she has read it to us before she goes to bed. I found this book great for kids six and up to read and enjoy with a parent or on their own. The beautifully illustrated pages keep your kid's attention as they read to the countdown for Christmas.
