Getting Our Craft On with Klutz (Review)

As a mom and a lover of crafts, I try to do some type of craft session with my kids at least a few times a month. It's always nice to get together and craft, not only do we get to create crafts we love, but it also brings us all together with no electronics and just enjoy one another's company as we create.

So when we were sent a box filled with craft kits from Klutz, I knew the kids and I would have a blast creating. Klutz creates book-based activity kits that help stimulate creativity and critical thinking in kids of all ages. There are kits for the entire family to enjoy.

Each kit includes clear instructions, all the material needed to create the specific craft, and a healthy dose of fun. Each kit builds creative confidence while encouraging hands-on learning. Klutz is a division of Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher, and distributor of children’s books.

Since us ladies here at Just Us Girls have 19 kids between us all that range from less than a month old to young adults, we were sent an assortment of upcoming new Klutz kits for all of our kids to enjoy.

Some of our favorites we got to craft are, My Squishy Soap Dough, Sew Mini Gardens and Make Mini Eraser Aliens.

If you follow us on our Instagram and Facebook, we shared with you a few weeks back on how my four year old got to create with the My Squishy Soap Dough Klutz Jr. kit. This fun kit comes with everything you need and the directions are easy to follow; including three different colored soap dough to create. My daughter loved that she got to create from beginning to end with only little assistance from me.

Another fun kit we were sent were the Make Mini Erasers, we were sent the Cuties which includes glitter, Aliens that include neon clay and Animal erasers that include glow in the dark clay. These kits were a blast to create with and once again, comes with everything you need to make custom eraser for your kiddos to enjoy. Once you create the eraser, you bake it and then you use it as an eraser!  Each set can create up to 15 erasers each. The kit is for ages 8 & up, but with assistance from mommy and six year old Jayden was able to create a few unique erasers.

Sew Mini Gardens is another fantastic kit that we loved and was enjoyed by sisters Joey and Ryanne. Again, this comes with everything you need to create your own little plant plushies. With this kit you can create up to 18 plants and it even comes with a small pot to put one of your plant plushies in. The girls had a blast with this Klutz kit and it was awesome to see that both an eleven and four year old were able to create and craft together, which again makes us happy because this is fun for the entire family.

Klutz craft kits are not only fun for the entire family to enjoy, but these kits teach hands on learning and gives your kids skills to build on. Each kit includes everything you need,  easy and clear instructions to follow and will keep you entertained on your next craft session. We were all very impressed with the quality of each klutz kit and had a blast crafting with our kids.
