DIY: Reindeer Food

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas, are you ready? We still have a few more gifts to pick up, but the kids are pretty much done, thank goodness.

One of the things that we do every year on Christmas Eve after setting up the cookies for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer is sprinkle some Reindeer Food on our front yard. It's something my kids love to do and I really enjoy it too. Just a sprinkle goes a long way. We've made enough to last us for years.

It takes only a minute to put together and is something your kids will remember for years.

Reindeer Food
Raw Oatmeal
Sprinkles or Glitter (We use Green and Red Sprinkles)
Container or lunch bag
Ribbon (Optional)

Directions:
1.Combine all ingredients in a resealable plastic bag or container.
2.Shake until well- combined.
3.When its dark on Christmas Eve, sprinkle the magic food on your front lawn to help Santa and his reindeer find your house.

I've also included a tag that you can attach to your reindeer food and have your kiddos say as they sprinkle the reindeer food on your lawn.

"Sprinkle on the lawn at night, The moon will make it sparkle bright. Santa's reindeer fly and roam, This will guide them to your home."
