Spring is in the air. It's literally around the corner. This year is definitely going by fast. I can't believe we're already in March.
What does Spring mean to you?
For me it's all about Easter, Spring Cleaning and one step closer to Summer out here where I can wear flip flops all day long wearing beautiful nail polish.
Since Spring still means a bit of cold weather out here in Canada and rain, instead of showing off my toes with pretty Summer nail polish, I get to show off my hands with the lovely Spring colors instead. I love that Spring colors can be both bright or pastel.
One of the places I shop often when I'm looking for something new and affordable products is my town's local Walmart.
I'm seriously there all the time. I go maybe two to three times a week. My trip this time was because I was on a mission to find some new Spring time color nail polish to give myself a quick manicure before we head out to California and also to get a couple of treats for our Barbie party we had.
Heading to Walmart I made a list of everything I needed, but even making a list I still ended up leaving with more than what I came there for. Why you ask? Well because when I walked in and around the store all I saw were new deals and sales that were going on. There were sales from left to right. So many items on rollback. This is something I love about Walmart. They're always trying to give their customer's deals on products that we love.
I started by making my way around the food aisle and found so many deals, like, my new favorite coffee creamer, Delight's Cinnabon. It's delicious and it's on for $2! How can you beat that?
Making my way to the nail polish aisle after I was done with the groceries I needed, I spotted Easter items. I love that Walmart is always ready for each season and holiday ahead of time with deals that everyone can afford.
I also spotted rain boots that I know my kiddos would love. I had to restrain myself because they do already have rain boots, but aren't they the cutest?
Once I got to the nail polish aisle there were tons of options for me. I'm a huge fan of OPI and Sally Hansen, so that's where my eyes landed when looking for Spring colors and boy did they have a lot.
I quickly was loving the colors from OPI's Nicole Modern Family colors. Not only am I a huge fan of that show, but the colors looked amazing. Another item that caught my eye was Sally Hansen's nail art pen. I've been wanting to try them forever, but am not the good at nails so didn't have the courage to try them until now.
Even though I don't think I did that great of job on my nails, my trip was a success. Not only did I get everything on my list, but I also got more because of all the roll backs going on at Walmart.
What are some of your favorite Spring colors when it comes to nails?
