Whipseey and the Lost Atlas Xbox One Review

The adventure begins when young Alex’s curiosity lands him in a literal world of trouble, whisking him away to a vibrant land where he is transformed into Whipseey. Armed with a trusty whip and imbued with newfound powers, he joins forces with a local princess to recover magic orbs capable of restoring order to this extraordinary world and safely send him home.

Drawing inspiration from beloved platformers, Whipseey and the Lost Atlasprovides a challenging yet rewarding retro experience. Whipseey’s journey follows the lovable pink hero leaping, whipping, and hovering through hand-crafted levels teeming with adorable enemies and dangerous hazards. With the crack of his whip, Whipseey latches onto swing points and hovers in the air, enabling dramatic and dynamic travel across the magical world of Whipseeyland.

MY REVIEW
This is such a fun game that can be enjoyed by the whole family.  It appealed to all ages from my 6 year old and my 10 year old to my husband and myself.  We were able to sit together on the couch and enjoy the game and all it had to offer.

The theme of the game is great and also reminded my husband and myself of Super Mario and Kirby combined.  It offered an old feel of when we were kids playing video games.  We really enjoyed the music and the graphics the game offers.  The game is also geared to many levels of gamers as it starts off easy and gets challenging as one progresses through the game.

My daughter was disappointed that there was no tutorial at the beginning of the game but she was quickly able to figure out how to use the controls to maximize her playing time.

Overall this is a fantastic game that appeals to all styles and level of gamers.  Perfect for a family game night! Available today, August 27th, on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Steam, you can now play this game at home.
